About Jamie
Jamie is the founder and leader of both O.W.L.S. and Dancing Moon Girls. She enjoys sharing her passion for the outdoors and nature through both of these programs as well as other mentorship roles.
Jamie holds a degree in Outdoor Education and has taught across Southern Vermont for over 20 years. She has taught, led and helped to facilitate outdoor programs at organizations and schools such as Kindle Farm School, Valley Ridge Student Center, Leland and Grey High School, Vermont Wilderness School, The Nature Museum at Grafton, The Roots School, Chester/Andover Elementary, Flood Brook Elementary School, Jamaica Elementary, Weston Library, Hildene, and many more.
She also enjoys facilitating adult workshops and family programs such as, family survival weekends, herbal medicine workshops, wild edibles walks, homeschool groups and summer camps.
Aside from her degree, Jamie is a certified Herbalist and certified in Wilderness first aid. She also holds other trainings and certifications in the fields of Archery, Riflery, CPI, The Art of Mentoring, Reiki, Falconry, Place Based Education, Wilderness Survival, hide tanning, Tree medicine and countless others.
She believes in the powerful and positive effects that connecting with nature has on children and adults of all ages. Her mission is to connect as many people back to the Earth as possible in order to create a generation that cares for and respects their planet.
